Highway Nights review: stylish, but thin

Great neon looks and tense near misses, but the endless format runs out of ideas quickly.

6.8 out of 10

Our verdict on Highway Nights

What we liked

  • Striking neon style
  • Tense near-miss scoring
  • Many cars

What could be better

  • Repetitive after a few hours
  • Upgrades take a long time
  • Frequent ads

Highway Nights looks fantastic: neon lights, wet roads and traffic rushing past at high speed.

How it plays

Weaving between cars and earning points for near misses is exciting for the first few hours. Daily missions add short-term goals.

What could be better

There is little variety beyond the endless runs, upgrades are slow and ads appear often.

Should you play it?

For short sessions, maybe. For a deeper racing game, Turbo Kart Islands or Rally Ridge are better choices.
