Neon Blitz Arena review: quick team fights that need a team

Five-minute online matches are fun with friends, but random teams and an online-only design hold it back.

Our verdict on Neon Blitz Arena

What we liked

  • Short, intense matches
  • Distinct heroes
  • Fast matchmaking

What could be better

  • Online only
  • Random teammates rarely work together
  • New heroes take a long time to unlock

Neon Blitz Arena is a three-versus-three arena shooter built for quick sessions.

How it plays

Each hero has one special ability, and the best moments come from combining them: a slow field from Pulse followed by a burst of damage. Matches are short and rarely feel one-sided.

What could be better

With random teammates, players often chase kills instead of holding control points. There is no offline mode at all, and unlocking heroes is slow without paying.

Should you play it?

With two friends, yes. Alone, it is fun in small doses but can be frustrating.
